Now that
The Innocence Files are available for streaming on Netflix, you may be wondering how you can get involved in the fight against wrongful conviction. You can use this list as a starting point!
Thank you for your support and desire to help right this wrong.
1. Get to know us!
First, follow us on social media; we're on
Facebook,
Twitter, and
Instagram. Then, subscribe to our emails by clicking
here, or using the "subscribe" button above. And finally...
come to our events (virtually, for now)! Once you're following us and receiving our news, you'll hear about any events or fundraisers that we are hosting. Please participate! You'll learn more about us, and we'll get to know you better as a loyal supporter.
2. Host a virtual party of episode 7 of The Innocence Files.
If you're looking to support the Pennsylvania Innocence Project specifically, there is no better way than to share the story of our client Chester Hollman III. You can sign up for Netflix Party
here to set up a virtual watch party. Invite your friends or colleagues to watch with you, and then have a frank conversation about what you learned.
If your friends have already watched
The Innocence Files, here is a list of other relevant content you can watch together. Click the button to see where you can watch:
Just Mercy
When They See Us
Oprah Winfrey Presents: When They see Us Now
The Central Park Five
3. Run a Facebook fundraiser
If your virtual watch party was a success, then you might want to consider starting a Facebook fundraiser that benefits the Pennsylvania Innocence Project. You can also ask for donations to the Project in lieu of gifts for a birthday, anniversary, or other special occasion.
Don't forget to tag us!
4. Make a donation
We’d love your help to continue to fight to exonerate innocent people in prison in Pennsylvania. The majority of the money we rely on comes from individuals like you. We thank you for your support.
